UF Health Shands Hospital Nursing Education Internship Opportunities
Inquiries for UF Health Shands Hospital Nursing Education internship opportunities will only be accepted online (via the survey). Students are NOT permitted to contact the site supervisors directly.
Dr. Moses will provide information about this special process during weeks 3 or 4 of the semester (for HSC4800 students).

- All survey submissions for Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 internship opportunities are due February 27.
Early survey submission deadline: February 5
- Supervisors will contact students to schedule interviews by February 17
- Interviews will be completed between February 17-27
- Internship offers will be emailed to the top candidate by March 5
Final survey submission deadline: February 27
- Supervisors will contact students to schedule interviews by March 10
- Interviews will be completed between March 10-23 (UF spring break is March 16-20)
- Internship offers will be emailed to the top candidate by March 27
Mandatory UF Intern Requirements
All UF Health sites require additional requirements that must be completed by the interns. Additional requirements must be submitted to Canvas (HSC4800) no later than the last day of class (the semester prior to internship).
UF Health Intern Requirements
Mandatory for all HEB students completing an internship within UF Health
UF Health mandates, without exception, that the specified list of requirements be completed by all HEB students who wish to complete an internship within UF Health. This packet of additional requirements must be submitted to the HSC4800 Canvas course shell by the last day of class during the semester prior to internship.
Healthcare Provider Statement of Medical Capability
This form helps students complete the general health screening and/or physical examination from their primary care physician. Students must complete the form before visiting their primary care physician, and the form must be typed. If the student’s clinician prefers to use their own version of this form, that is allowed.
