Sexual Assault & Alcohol Prevention Research (SAPR) Lab
Welcome to the Department of Health Education and Behavior’s SAPR Lab. We specialize in technology-based interventions to reduce sexual assault risk and risky drinking in adolescents, college students, and military service members. The research conducted in our lab is at the forefront of the sexual assault prevention field, and our projects are funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Department of Defense. We are also a research training lab. Our undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral trainees gain experience by working on our federally funded projects, and then through independent study. Many have received distinguished research awards and fellowships, and nearly all of our recent graduates have continued on to top tier graduate programs, medical schools, or research industry positions.
