For application information, transfer students should refer to the admission as a transfer section of the UF Undergraduate Catalog. Within space and fiscal limitations, applicants from other institutions who have satisfied minimum requirements will be considered for admission at the junior level.
Florida community college applicants to the College of Health & Human Performance (HHP) must complete an Associate of Arts degree and meet all university and college-specific requirements. Admission evaluation factors include academic record, cumulative grade point average, performance in prerequisite courses, extent to which the applicant exceeds minimum requirements, and achievements and career goals as stated by the student. The admission review process is a holistic review of the applicant’s overall record and potential in the chosen academic field. Students who complete prerequisite courses outside the state system (students who attend out-of-state, private and/or international institutions) must submit course descriptions to the department adviser.
Transfer admission is limited and extremely competitive. Priority will be given to applicants who have completed an AA degree from a Florida public community college, state college or university, per the State of Florida Articulation Agreement. HHP accepts a limited number of transfer students during Fall and Spring semesters only based on space and fiscal availability.

Following UF policy, HHP limits post-baccalaureate students to the following criteria:
In addition, any student wishing to apply under the “prerequisites for graduate study” will be required to apply to the department to which they plan to apply AND NOT the department that offers the course they wish to complete. For example: a student wishing to apply to the physical therapy graduate program, and who needs anatomy and physiology as prerequisites should apply to the College of Public Health and Health Professions as a post-baccalaureate.

Eligibility
Non-degree enrollment in the fall and spring semsters is restricted to participants in special programs (including Employee Education Program and State Agency fee waivers), off-campus programs, university-affiliated exchange programs, and high school/college dual enrollment.
During summer semesters non-degree status may be approved under the following conditions:
This program is for former degree-seeking students “who wish to return to the University after an absence of no fewer than five calendar years.” During this absence the student should have engaged predominately in nonacademic activities. Students wishing to apply under the Fresh Start Program should follow UF guidelines.
Students are also required to complete the College’s Letter of Intent.
Readmission applies to students who have previously attended UF as degree seeking students and wish to return to complete their Bachelor’s degree. Former undergraduate students who do not enroll at the University for two consecutive terms, including any summer term, must apply for readmission. Readmission to the College of Health & Human Performance is NOT guaranteed. If you are considering readmission to the College, please review the readmission eligibility requirements below.
Readmission — Above a 2.0 UF GPA
If you left HHP on track for your major and are reapplying to the same major without having earned any additional credits at another institution, follow the readmission process outlined on the Admissions website. If a student is on track and in good standing before the absence of two or more terms, and reapplies to the same major, then readmission is generally granted.

Students readmitted to HHP who have been away from UF for longer than one calendar year will be readmitted under the catalog in effect at the time of readmission.
Readmission — Below a 2.0 UF GPA
Please contact an HHP academic advisor to discuss the likelihood of readmission to the major you desire prior to starting the readmission process. If there were any documented extenuating circumstances that affected your academic performance while at UF, you are encouraged to review the University Petition process in an effort to potentially improve your chances for readmission by reducing your deficit record.
If you left UF with 15 or fewer deficit points and have not taken additional coursework since you left UF, HHP will work with you on a case-by-case basis. However, be aware that taking classes elsewhere after leaving UF with a deficit record could jeopardize consideration for readmission since these grades do not count toward your UF gpa.

Readmission — Dismissed Students
Students who were dismissed from the University of Florida with more than 15 deficit points are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The College of Health & Human Performance does not readmit students who have been dismissed and have subsequently earned an AA degree at another institution; or students who have been dismissed after having already been readmitted once. If you fall into any of the categories above, you will need to consider other academic options (at other institutions).
If you have greater than 15 deficit points, your application will be reviewed by an academic advisor. Upon review of your application, you may be contacted by the advisor to discuss your academic plan. Your advisor will develop a readmission contract that will specify GPA and course requirements. The contract will be reviewed by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. If approved, you will be monitored every semester while on contract. Students must meet all contract conditions to be eligible to continue in HHP.
The College of Health & Human Performance follows the University’s Employee Educational Program (EEP) policies. Full-time state employees who have been admitted to a degree or non-degree seeking status are eligible for a fee waiver of up to six (6) credit hours of UF courses per semester.
