College of Health & Human Performance Spring 2022 Recognition Ceremony


Join us as we recognize graduates earning master's and bachelor's degrees from the College of Health & Human Performance.

Save the date for Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center. The processional will begin at 1:30 p.m.

At this recognition ceremony, master's degree and bachelor's degree graduates will be individually recognized by Dean Michael Reid. A guest speaker and graduating student speaker will address the Class of 2022 and guests. 

  • Beginning Thursday morning, parking restrictions will be lifted for the O'Connell Center lot and garage (garage #7). See Google map.
  • All attendees must pass through metal detectors and bag searches. See security policies page. Seating is on a first come, first served basis.
  • Graduate check-in is at Gate 4 beginning at 12:30 p.m. Graduates are expected to assemble by 1 p.m. as the processional will begin at 1:30 p.m.
  • Regalia (cap and gown) is required; it’s your ticket into the lineup area and into the ceremony. See bookstore for ordering information.
  • Don’t forget your name card which you will receive when you pick up your regalia from the bookstore.
  • Guests must enter through the main gates which will open at 12:30 p.m.
  • Candidates in need of accommodations should complete the commencement accommodation request form. Guests in need of accommodations should review the commencement accessibility webpage.

Please note, we do not plan to distribute tickets or limit guests for this ceremony.

All graduates and guests are encouraged to attend the University-Wide Commencement Ceremony on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 7-9 p.m. in Ben Hill Griffith Stadium. 

The Doctoral Recognition Ceremony will be held for graduates earning a Ph.D. or DAT on Thursday, April 28 from 9-11 a.m. in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
