"Inclusion, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA) are values embraced by the entire HHP community," said Dean Michael Reid in an email to college faculty and staff in December. "Implementation of these values is a responsibility shared by us all. Accordingly, efforts to increase IDEA are being distributed more broadly in 2021. Separate initiatives will be driven by each of the departments as well as the college administration."
To help integrate these activities, the college established the new Dean’s IDEA Council. In brief, representatives from each department will serve on the council to share information on IDEA matters, promote faculty and staff awareness of IDEA activities, coordinate our IDEA efforts with the university, and advise the HHP leadership. The council will begin work in January. The following individuals are founding council members.

The new council hosted the first working meeting in mid-January with a goal to bridge the work in each of the departments with the work being done at the university and college-level. If you would like to be involved, please reach out to your representative and visit the new IDEA webpage.
