Biography

Erik Black joined the Department of Health Education and Behavior in 2024, bringing extensive experience from his previous roles within the University of Florida Colleges of Medicine and Nursing. Over his two-decade career, Dr. Black has cultivated expertise in teaching, learning, assessment, and evaluation. His focus spans complex educational environments and learners across the full spectrum of ages and developmental stages. This extensive background underpins his experience in designing and delivering impactful courses, including critical areas like quality improvement, patient safety, community health, and teamwork. Dr. Black's commitment to pedagogical excellence and community impact has garnered him local and national recognition.
