HHP Spring Awards

Rachel L.M. Ho is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology with a concentration in motor control and learning. As a proud “Hapa Haole,” she strives to create warm, inclusive, safe spaces whether in the lab or in the classroom. Her work in the Laboratory of Rehabilitative Neuroscience with her mentor Dr. Stephen Coombes focuses on individuals with chronic low back pain and the brain mechanisms underlying pain and movement.

When she’s not in the lab you can find her taking long walks with her fur baby Frankie and cooking adventurous vegetarian, gluten-free meals with her fiance Matt.
