Congrats, Gator Grads!

The college recognition ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.

Congratulations to the graduating Class of 2024! The University of Florida College of Health & Human Performance is gearing up to honor 152 master’s and 388 bachelor’s degree recipients on Thursday, May 2 at 2 p.m. in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.

Dean Michael Reid, Ph.D., will preside over the ceremony, which will recognize graduates in applied physiology and kinesiology, health education and behavior, sport management, and tourism, hospitality and event management. Graduates will have the opportunity to cross the stage and shake hands with Dean Reid and Christopher Janelle, Ph.D., senior associate dean for academic and student affairs.


2024 Recognition Ceremony Speaker: Cyntrice Thomas, Ph.D., JD, Instructional Associate Professor and Associate Chair in the UF Department of Sport Management

The college is thrilled to announce Cyntrice Thomas, Ph.D., JD, an instructional associate professor and associate chair in the Department of Sport Management, will serve as the speaker for the recognition ceremony. Dr. Thomas's expertise in sport law and management makes her an ideal choice to inspire and motivate graduates.

Doors for the college ceremony will open at 12:30 p.m. and graduates are expected to assemble at Gate 4 by 1:30 p.m. The ceremony will begin with a student processional at 2 p.m.

In addition to the college ceremony, a university-wide ceremony for doctoral degree recipients, including 17 graduates from the College of Health & Human Performance, will be held on Thursday, May 2 at 9 a.m. The university-wide commencement ceremony for all graduates will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 3 in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. President Ben Sasse will preside over the ceremony, with conservation photographer Carlton Ward Jr. as the guest speaker.
