The College of Health & Human Performance (HHP) is proud to announce the 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year and Doctoral Dissertation Mentoring Award.

ASHLEE OSSIBOFF, Ph.D. | HHP Teacher of the Year
As instructional assistant professor in the Department of Health Education and Behavior, Dr. Ossiboff teaches a variety of courses which provide a foundational knowledge of health education, approaches to increasing quality of life and decreasing health disparities, and promotion of population health. Her teaching focuses on international perspectives in health education. She is also a study abroad director and works as a Preview advisor at the university. 

DAVID VAILLANCOURT, Ph.D. | Doctoral Dissertation Mentoring Award
David Vaillancourt is chair and professor in the Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. Dr. Vaillancourt’s research focuses on how the brain regulates voluntary and involuntary movement with a specific focus on motor disorders.

Congratulations to each of these distinguished members of the HHP community! Both will now represent the college at the university level awards announced later this spring.
