If you roam the halls of the Florida Gym this summer, you’re bound to run into the Class of 2022 here for Summer Preview and you will likely see construction crews, as well. In June, we will have several projects in the works.
Within the dean’s suite, the waiting area, dean’s office and conference room will receive an update to its look and feel, including new wall coverings, furniture and a new monitor in the conference room. Just outside the dean’s suite, HHP will be adding a donor wall to recognize alumni and friends of the college who have provided philanthropic support over the years.
Finally, our anatomy labs will have new ceilings installed in each of the four spaces. More than 2,700 students make their way through these labs every year, as any student needing anatomy for their major takes a course with faculty in the Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. The new ceilings will help improve teaching and learning by limiting the sound heard in adjoining labs.
We are grateful to donors who have provided the funds for these projects. We look forward to showing off the improvements when the fall semester begins in August.
