Rachael Seidler Joins National Academy of Kinesiology

The National Academy of Kinesiology (NAK) is an organization that encourages the study and education in the science of human movement. NAK honors individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the field of human activity. HHP’s Dr. Seidler was recently selected for induction into the society along with 13 new members for the 2018 calendar year.

Dr. Seidler is a professor in the Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. Her work has been supported by NASA, NIH, the NSF and various other private research institutions. Dr. Seidler and her team have made discoveries relating to human brain plasticity, spaceflight and skill acquisition. In total, her research funding exceeds $6 million and she has more than 120 publications
