Dr. Maldonado-Molina is Professor and Chair for the Department of Health Education and Behavior at the University of Florida. Her research program centers around reducing adolescent health disparities surrounding alcohol use and related consequences, particularly among vulnerable populations. Her work is characterized by the application of innovative statistical methods in prevention-oriented studies of youth, with an area of expertise in cultural processes associated with substance use in Hispanic youth.

Dr. Salas-Wright is Professor and Assistant Dean of the Doctoral Program at the Boston College School of Social Work. His research agenda focuses on the experiences of immigrant youth and families with a particular emphasis on cultural stress, mental health, and substance use prevention. Dr. Salas-Wright received his PhD from Boston College before completing a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Brown University and later holding faculty positions at the University of Texas at Austin and Boston University. He is fluent in English and Spanish, and proficient in Brazilian Portuguese.

Dr. Schwartz is a Professor of Kinesiology, Health Education, and Educational Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. He has a master’s degree in family and child sciences from Florida State University and a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from Florida International University. He was a post-doctoral fellow, and later a professor, at the University of Miami from 2000 to 2020. Dr. Schwartz joined the UT-Austin College of Education in January 2021. Dr. Schwartz’s research program focuses on identity, acculturation, culturally related stressors, and crisis-induced migration. He was the Distinguished Alumnus and Tyner Eminent Lecturer at the Florida State University College of Human Sciences and was the 2019 recipient of the National Hispanic Science Network’s Excellence in Mentoring Award.

Dr. Eric C. Brown, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor with the University of Miami's Department of Public Health Sciences, where he directs the Department’s Master of Science Program in Prevention Science and Community Health. Dr. Brown works on the development, implementation, and testing of community-based preventive interventions in the United States and in Latin America.
