Dr. Foxx has been an adjunct instructor at the Department of Health Education and Behavior at UF since May 2022. She enjoys creating and teaching the online version of the core course Planning, Implementing and Evaluating Health Education Programs, and teaching and overseeing other courses such as research methods and medical terminology. Dr. Foxx also serves as administrative support for academic programs at HEB.
Her dissertation research focuses on applying behavioral economic approaches to increasing enjoyable and reinforcing physical activities and decreasing TV watching in a telehealth coaching study. Before focusing on physical activity and sedentary behavior, Dr. Foxx has been involved in multiple research projects examining behavioral economics of cannabis use. She also spent some time facilitating smoking cessation classes in the Gainesville community.
