Biography

Dr. Binesh earned her Ph.D. in Hospitality Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where her dissertation developed a game-theoretic artificial neural network for hotel price forecasting. She holds an MBA from Multimedia University in Malaysia and a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran.

Since joining UF in 2022, Dr. Binesh has published multiple papers, secured multiple interdisciplinary grants, and received the AI Award from the University of Florida. Her work on AI in responsible gambling has been featured by UF News, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, and local Fox5. Dr. Binesh is the founding director of the RAISE Lab (Responsible AI in Society), which investigates the social, ethical, and behavioral impacts of AI in high-risk decision environments. She has also served as an invited speaker for the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), the Gaming Labs International (GLI) Regulators Roundtable, NSF Research Bootcamp, and other academic and industry panels.

Her accolades include the UNLV Medallion and the 2022 I-CHRIE Case Study Competition Award. She brings over a decade of professional and academic experience, teaching subjects such as revenue management, finance, AI applications, and smart service systems.

  • AI Ethics & Responsible Innovation: The ethical implications of AI in hospitality and gambling, including regulatory challenges and consumer trust.
  • Machine Learning & Deep Learning: Forecasting hotel performance, dynamic pricing, and modeling behavioral data.
  • Game Theory & Strategic Decision-Making: Applying game-theoretic and behavioral models to revenue management and operational strategy.
