Biography
Dr. Mann joined the College of Health & Human Performance as a Lecturer in August of 2023. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from York University followed by his Master of Arts degree from San Diego State University and his Doctorate from the Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida. As a student, Dr. Mann studied emotion, attention, and the development of sport expertise. Since that time, his research interests have continued to evolve in the areas of performance expertise, emotional intelligence, and the assessment of human performance potential. As an Instructional Assistant Professor, Dr. Mann is passionate about bringing content to life, while engaging with and empowering students to acquire and develop the tangible skills to excel. In addition to his scholarly work, Dr. Mann has served as a performance consultant to elite athletes, military, and corporate performers.
