CBEHR Resources
The University of Florida’s Center for Behavioral Economic Health Research will support research conducted by graduate students or postdoctoral fellows/associates that aims to understand and promote human health behavior change within the broad scope of research and application of behavioral economics (e.g., economic, psychological, cognitive, community, cultural, and/or social factors that influence individual, institutional, or policy decision making). Awardees will be selected by the CBEHR Training and Education Committee. We fund up to three (3) Awards of up to $2,000.00 each during each academic year.
To apply, please complete the application form at: https://ufl.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_40cSsGw69uVBCZM
For questions or more information about the Pilot Research Award, please contact the Chair of the CBEHR Training & Education Committee, Dr. Nichole Scaglione at nscaglione@ufl.edu.
NOTE: Recipients of either award should appropriately acknowledge their CBEHR funding on all dissemination products (e.g., conference presentations, manuscripts) and be willing to present their work at a future CBEHR meeting, such as the annual Science Exchange.
The CBEHR also offers Travel Awards for our graduate students and postdoctoral members to support their presentations at conferences on topics related to behavioral economics and health, broadly defined. Each travel award will provide up to $500 to help cover the costs of attendance, including airfare or mileage, registration, lodging, presentation preparation (e.g., poster printing), and meals. Applicants are eligible to receive up to one travel award per academic year.
To qualify, you should have a presentation accepted or currently under consideration at a conference on a topic directly related to behavioral economics, decision making, or health behavior research. Your presentation should align with the goals of CBEHR (see http://www.hhp.ufl.edu/faculty-research/centers-institutes/cbehr/ ) and should be approved by your faculty advisor. Preference will be given to first-author presentations at national or international scientific meetings. You can use this funding to complement funding from other sources, but you should not request more (in total) than what you will use to attend the meeting.
