Spring 2026 Commencement
Join us on May 3, 2026 as we recognize graduates earning degrees from the College of Health & Human Performance. The college ceremony date is to be determined and will take place in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. Note, the processional will begin at 9 a.m.
College of Health & Human Performance Spring 2026 Recognition Ceremony
At this recognition ceremony, master’s degree and bachelor’s degree graduates will be individually recognized by Dean Michael Reid.
- Beginning Thursday morning, parking restrictions will be lifted for the O’Connell Center lot and garage (garage #7). See Google map.
- All attendees must pass through metal detectors and bag searches. See security policies. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Graduates are required to check in at Gate 4 starting at 7:30 a.m. to receive their name card. Please ensure timely assembly by 8:30 a.m. as the processional will commence promptly at 9 a.m.
- Regalia (cap and gown) is required; it’s your ticket into the lineup area and into the ceremony. See bookstore for ordering information.
- Guests must enter through the main gates which will open at 7:30 a.m.
- Candidates in need of accommodations should complete the commencement accommodation request form. Guests in need of accommodations should review the commencement accessibility webpage.
- The ceremony will be available on livestream.
Please note, we do not plan to distribute tickets or limit guests for this ceremony.

Additional Ceremonies
All graduates and guests are encouraged to attend the University-Wide Commencement Ceremony in Ben Hill Griffith Stadium. The Spring 2026 commencement will take place on Friday, May 1, from 7 to 9 p.m.
The Doctoral Recognition Ceremony will be held for graduates earning a Ph.D. or DAT in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. The Spring 2026 doctoral commencement ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 30, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Walk-Out-Of-Term
Walk-out-of-term requests are for students who: 1) are nearing completion of their degree and wish to participate in commencement early, or 2) have completed their degree/graduated in a previous semester and wish to participate in commencement in a later semester.
Per UF policy:
- Students petitioning to walk-out-of-term ahead of their final semester must be within 1 semester of graduating
- Students petitioning to walk-out-of-term after their graduation semester should walk within 2 semesters of graduating
The Fall 2025 WOOT form is now available.
WOOT petitions requests for Spring 2026 will be accepted between Jan. 5 to Feb. 13. Please be on the lookout for more information in January 2026.
