Biography

Dr. Christine Wegner is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Sport Management. Her research centers on identities in sport and physical activity, particularly the experience of individuals with minoritized identities. She also does work in the Sport for Development (SFD) space, specializing in program evaluation. She has worked with both local and national industry partners to solve problems relevant to stakeholders in the SFD space. She teaches several courses in the department, including Social Issues in Sport, Diversity and Inclusion in Sport Organizations, and Management and Leadership in Sport. Dr. Wegner earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration with a Concentration in Tourism in Sport from Temple University.
