Keynote Addresses:
07/21/2011- DR. DAN CONNAUGHTON was selected as a keynote speaker to present his research on "Legal Issues in the U.S. Sport Industry" at the 22nd Pan-Asian Congress of Sports and Physical Education. The conference was held in Beijing, China.
Awards:
03/16/2012- DR. J.O. SPENGLER has been elected as the President of the Sport and Recreation Law Association. The association is a nonprofit corporation whose purpose is to study, disseminate, and address information regarding legal aspects of sport and recreation. They serve the academic and practitioner communities in both private and public sport and recreation settings.
05/04/2011- DR. HEATHER GIBSON was selected as the "Outstanding Kinesiology Professional" in the prestigious Neag School of Education Alumni Society 2011 Awards at the University of Connecticut. This is an important honor for Dr. Gibson, as social scientists are not commonly selected for the award.
