GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The College of Health and Human Performance’s Drs. Daniel Connaughton and Charles Byrd both received new research contracts from the Florida Department of Transportation in July.
Charles Byrd, Ph.D., received a new $220,675 contract from The Florida Department of Transportation for his research project entitled “Administer the Florida Crossing Guard Program." Byrd is the primary investigator on the project working with James Zhang,, Ph.D., the co-investigator and chair of HHP’s Department of Tourism, Recreation and Sport Management.
Daniel Connaughton, Ph.D., received a new $483,085 contract from The Florida Department of Transportation for his research project entitled “Bicycle Safety and Risk Management Project: Florida Traffic and Bicycle Safety Education. Connaughton is the primary investigator on the project and is working with Charles Byrd, Ph.D., the co-investigator.
