Dr. Charles E. Byrd, Research Assistant Professor in TRSM, received the “2008 Award of Excellence” from the Florida After School Alliance (FASA) and the National After School Association (NAA).

This prestigious award recognizes Byrd for demonstrating outstanding service to school-age children. The award also recognizes advocacy of the after-school initiative at both state and national levels, and outstanding leadership in Florida’s after-school movement.
