GAINESVILLE, Fla. – On Dec. 2, 2007, the University of Florida College of Health and Human Performance special events class will hold the inaugural 5k Cool Runnings Charity Marathon. 

The event will run from 8-10 a.m at the UF Southwest Recreation Center at the corner of Hull Road and Bledsoe Drive, across from the Harn Museum and the Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Individuals who wish to walk or run for fun in the event should bring the $10 registration fee at 7 a.m. on the day of the event.

All proceeds from the event will go to Toys for Tots and Camp Kesem.
