Judy B. Ford Scholarship
Judy B. Ford is a third-generation Gator, including her dad and daughter, Sheri Ford Lewin. After graduation, she taught Jr. High physical education for five years, while coaching basketball and softball. Ford retired in 1982 and was free to follow her passions — one of which is the Boy Scouts. As a 38-year volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, she has been a pioneer in many leadership positions both locally and regionally and paved the way for many women to follow.
Extremely active in the fight against breast cancer, she walked twice in the 60-mile Susan Komen 3-day to raise money and awareness for the cause. Ford counts the experience as one of her most meaningful and rewarding. Another passion is the Gators: any sport, any opportunity, any activity — she loves everything Gator. Travel and golf round out her passions. With two children and nine grandchildren, Ford feels that her life is truly blessed.
