The following is a list of student organizations at HHP.
HHP Ambassadors serve as the “face” of the College and represents HHP at various events including Freshman Preview, New Student Convocation, HHP Tailgates, Spring Awards, Internship/Job Fair and more! We are looking for outgoing and enthusiastic students to represent our College at recruiting, alumni and community events.
Event Marketing Student Association (EMSA)
EMSA is a professional student organization that promotes hands-on experience, professional development, and networking opportunities between students, faculty, and professionals in the events industry. The purpose of EMSA is to bring students together in the events industry to grow and learn by providing them the resources they need to succeed. We recruit guest speakers from Gainesville and the surrounding areas, visit event facilities, and plan events within the HHP college to better connect the students and faculty. Anyone interested in the field of events is welcome to join.
Eta Sigma Gamma
ESG is the national professional health education honorary. ESG provides opportunities to be leaders and role models, and is a way to participate fully as a professional health educator.
Gator Sport Management Organization
GSMO offers UF students a forum which promotes both professional and favorable working relationships and networking opportunities between students, faculty, alumni and business professionals within the sporting industry.
Graduate Student Advisory Council
Organized to unite the graduate student body and to advocate on behalf of all graduate students in CHHP. GSAC provides a safe forum for the expression of views of the graduate student, facilitates collaborations and interactions among graduate students; provides mentoring relationships and general support for incoming and current graduate students; and plans orientations and social events to welcome incoming graduate students and maintaining relationships with current graduate students.

Health and Education for Research, Outreach, Empowerment & Service (HEROES)
HEROES aims to empower the community to advocate for their health and educational needs in order to create healthy environments through service, education and research. HEROES aims to educate and increase awareness, provide community support, encourage research collaboration, and to inspire passion and develop leadership among students.

TRSM Honor Society
The Tourism, Recreation & Sport Management Honor Society promotes professional development of its members within the Recreation, Parks and Tourism and Sport Management field of study. We visit hospitality and event facilities, host guest speaks, participate in service activities and peer networking events.
Leisure Education And Parks Students (LEAPS)
Leisure Education and Parks Students (LEAPS) is an organization for students interested in the fields of Recreation, Parks, Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management. LEAPS is an organization that offers a well-rounded way for students to get involved in the community, HHP, and UF. The purpose of LEAPS is to encourage development of professionalism, to provide practical leadership development experiences, and to provide networking opportunities, social programs, service programs, and fundraising activities of professionally minded students interested or studying the fields of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism.
Phi Epsilon Kappa
UF PEK is a pre-professional fraternity that is predominantly geared towards Applied Physiology & Kinesiology majors, but anyone interested in health and fitness is welcome to join.
Student Athletic Trainers’ Organization
The goals of SATO are to increase awareness of athletic training, foster the interests of its members, and support the local community by volunteering at athletic events and spearheading other service projects.

The HHP Student College Council serves as a liaison between the students, faculty, clubs and organizations and student government. Through the dissemination of information, funds and opportunities, the Student College Council is determined to support and advance the collective goals of the college’s students and its clubs and organizations. We strive to promote mutual understanding, communication, cooperation, and coordination among various departments, faculty, clubs, honoraries, and students as represented by their respective members.
