The Florida Center for Health Promotion strives to be a leader in knowledge development and dissemination related to health promotion and disease prevention programs.

Mission:
The mission of the Florida Center for Health Promotion (FCHP) is to provide a mechanism for collaboration among individuals interested in identifying and/or developing effective, innovative health education strategies that focus on the promotion of and support for healthy lifestyles for individuals and communities.

To accomplish this mission the FCHP facilitates:

• Research through FCHP faculty affiliated organized colloquia
• Collaborative lecture series focused on dissemination of nationally recognized research
• Internship/practicum research opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students
• Consultation on externally funded projects for affiliated faculty
• Encouragement of knowledge dissemination via presentations and publications
