ADMISSIONS PROCESS

The transfer application process for the College of Health & Human Performance involves the following steps:

Complete & submit the online University of Florida undergraduate admissions application.  The application and fee must be submitted to the UF Office of Admissions, along with transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.  The Office of Admissions may also require a high school transcript to verify applying students have met the State University System’s Foreign Language Requirement.  Questions regarding the Foreign Language requirement should be directed to the Office of Admissions.

Submit the College of Health & Human Performance application materials.  These materials are to be returned directly to the College of Health & Human Performance and include:
  1. Letter of Intent
  2. Letters of recommendation (maximum of 2, provided by academic source and/or non-academic source)
  3. Résumé (provided by applicant)

Mail these materials to the department you are applying to for admission.  Departmental addresses can be found on page 2 of the letter of intent application.  All materials must be received by the published transfer admission deadlines.

The College of Health & Human Performance will evaluate your admission application to determine whether you meet admissions requirements.  Admission evaluation factors include academic record, cumulative GPA, performance in prerequisite coursework, extent to which the applicant exceeds minimum requirements, and achievements and career goals as stated by the student.  The admission review process is a holistic review of the applicant’s overall record and potential in the chosen academic field.

The UF Office of Admissions will notify you of your admission decision in writing generally within eight weeks of the transfer application deadline.  Applicants can also check admission status online through the Office of Admissions website.

If admitted, you will receive a welcome letter from the College of Health & Human Performance outlining any conditions of your admission, as well as the next steps to take.
