The Department of Applied Physiology & Kinesiology offers the Chris Patrick Scholarship program to honor outstanding athletic training students from the University of Florida's undergraduate athletic training education program. Chris Patrick, Assistant Athletic Director for Sport Health, is a member of multiple Halls of Fame, including the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Southeastern Athletic Trainers’ Association, and was recognized as an Honorary Letterman by the F Club and University Athletic Association, Inc. He also is the former chairperson of the Southeastern Conference Sports Medicine committee.

Scholarships are awarded to deserving undergraduate athletic training students who demonstrate a commitment to the profession through service, dedication and community involvement. The Chris Patrick Scholarships are sponsored by the University Athletic Association, Inc. and are presented by the Athletic Training Steering Committee who oversees the scholarship selection to encourage academic excellence and service in athletic training.  Scholarships are awarded in December of each year.  Application information is available by contacting Dr. Patricia M.
