Biography:

Charles S. Williams is a professor in the Department of Tourism, Recreation and Sport Management in the College of Health and Human Performance. He first came to the University of Florida in 1972 as a physical education instructor. Since then, he has been the assistant department chair, the director of recreational sports, the assistant dean and the associate dean. He was the senior associate dean of HHP from 2003-06.

Since the start of his career, Williams has received many awards. Some of his most recent honors include the “Texty” Textbook Excellence and the William Holmes McGuffey Longevity awards in 2005.

Williams is currently a primary investigator in the Wellness Education Program for the Florida Department of Corrections. He has been involved with this program for more than 10 years.
