Biography:
Jiunn-Jye Sheu, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Education and Behavior at the University of Florida. He has been the director of Health Informatics Laboratory for several years. At UF, Sheu conducts research and teaches in the area of methods and materials in health education, health informatics, and epidemiology. Dr. Sheu is also the founder of JJ’s DIAMOND (Digital Instruction And Multimedia Over the Net Database).
Sheu has received several teaching and service awards. He holds the professional certification, Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). He has been published numerous times in professional journals and made many presentations at professional conferences. He is a commissioner and division board vice coordinator in the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) and the Policy Committee Chair of Health Informatics Information Technology (HIIT) SPIG in American Public Health Association (APHA). He also served as the president of Chinese American Scholars Association of Florida (CASAF) in 2005-2006.
