Biography:

Lori Pennington-Gray, Ph.D., has been an associate professor at the University of Florida since 2005. She is also the director of the Center for Tourism Research and Development at UF. Previously, she was an assistant professor at the university.

Pennington-Gray also supervises undergraduate and graduate student research at the College. She is part of the graduate committee and was a faculty advisor for the Division of Recreational Sports Water Polo Team.

She is currently a member of the Travel Industry of America and the Caribbean Tourism Organization.

Short Biography

Research Interests:

  • • The “systems approach” to understand both demand-side and supply-side issues related to tourism
  • • Consumer travel behavior on the demand side
  • • The decision-making process of destination marketing organizations (DMOs) on the supply-side
