Biography:

Yong Jae Ko, Ph.D., joined the Department in 2006. He came to the University of Florida after serving as an assistant professor at Washington State University for five years.

Ko has been involved in numerous research projects that relate to sport consumer behavior and sport event marketing. He has published in high quality journals in the field of sport marketing and management (e.g., Journal of Sport Management, Sport Marketing Quarterly, Sport Management Review, International Journal of Sport Marketing and Sponsorship, International Journal of Sport Management). Ultimately, his research will help develop better understanding of sport consumers and improve sport and recreation opportunities and quality of life for individuals and families.

Dr. Ko is a member of the Sport Marketing Association (SMA) and the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM). His professional service has been excellent as he routinely serve on various committees and advisory board in national and international sport organizations.
