Biography:
Holly Donohoe, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Tourism, Recreation and Sport Management at the University of Florida. Previously, she was a lecturer in Geography, Leisure Studies and Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa and a lecturer of Geography and Environmental Studies at Carleton University.
Dr. Donohoe is a geographer strongly placed in natural resource and environmental management but with a dedicated interest in tourism and leisure. She has collaborated on research projects within Canada and abroad and provided consulting support to organizations such as the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA), the National Capital Commission, the Canadian Index of Wellbeing (CIW), the Conseil québécois du loisir (CQL), and the World Leisure Organization where she is the Director of Marketing and Communications.
Dr. Donohoe is a member of the Canadian Association of Geographers, Canadian Association for Leisure Studies, the Travel and Tourism Research Association, and the World Leisure Organization.
