Bachelor of Science: Health Education & Behavior

The B.S. in Health Education and Behavior program enables students to focus their coursework on interest areas in health education and health promotion in community, clinical, or worksite settings, as well as in health studies, preparing them for related industry jobs or graduate programs. Please note: some health related graduate and professional programs will not accept laboratory courses delivered via online instruction. 

Professional preparation for the Health Education & Behavior major focuses on:

  • Assessing individual and community health education needs
  • Developing, planning and implementing effective health education programs
  • Evaluating health education program effectiveness
  • Coordinating the provision of health education services
  • Acting as a resource person in health education
  • Communicating health education needs, concerns and resources
