We have three testing rooms devoted to the study of emotion, movement, performance, and expertise. Two of these rooms are currently being used to study the impact of emotion via pictures on force output within a sustained and ballistic force task. The other larger room is available for a variety of basic and applied projects. Available instrumentation includes Biopac hardware and Acknowledge software, as well as Grass Bioamplification systems, used for collection and analysis of various physiological measures including SCR, EMG, EEG, EKG, and RR. Additionally, both head and desk mounted eye tracking systems are available to acquire and analyze gaze behavior. All experiments are run using Labview programming software.

Participant using feedback to produce a specific amount of force (sustained task).

Participant preparing to quickly squeeze a force transducer when the picture disappears (ballistic task).

Applied apparatus for evaluation of self-paced task performance.

Waiting room for participants, complete with magazines, artwork, and fake plants.
