Review the "Future Interns" website NOW and become familiar with the process!
- Are you eligible?, i.e. (after your fall enrollment, will you have all degree requirements completed — check your degree audit)

- Make an informed decision — visit the organizations website, request an interview or site visit
If the site is not on the "approved site list," be sure you share the "Expectations of Site Supervisors" information http://www.hhp.ufl.edu/apk/acad/unde/exp_site.php while you interview. Be sure both you and your site acknowledge and agree on internship expectations, duties, and responsibilities. Check out http://www.hhp.ufl.edu/apk/acad/unde/internships.php for a list of common duties in your specialization area.
- Do you know what’s required in the packet? http://www.hhp.ufl.edu/apk/acad/unde/fut_intern_packsub.php
- Set up your first aid certification or recertification now
- Set up your CPR certification or recertification now
- Apply for your professional liability insurance now
- All three items above can delay submission of your packet and result in delay of your eligibility
If you are unable to attend this meeting, you will jeopardize your eligibility for internship. Please see me IMMEDIATELY if you have a verifiable and documented conflict, i.e. enrolled course or work commitment.
