Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training

This major provides an excellent foundation in the prevention and care of athletic injuries from which AT majors can pursue entry-level employment or graduate study in athletic training or other allied health fields. Its accreditation status allows athletic training students an opportunity to sit for the Board of Certification (BOC) examination to be certified as an athletic trainer upon completion of the degree. Athletic training is a limited access program.

Acceptance into the Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) requires a secondary application (Portfolio) process beyond that required for admission into the University of Florida. Due to the competitive nature and restricted capacity, the ATEP is considered a Limited Access Program, granted by the Florida Board of Governors. Please review the most recent version of the UF Undergraduate Catalog and speak to your academic advisor.
