The College of Health and Human Performance is a community where all people are valued and respected. HHP's numerous programs and outreach activities support diversity and inclusion for students, faculty and staff.

Faculty Composition
HHP is building a culturally diverse faculty and staff, a key factor in maintaining excellence in teaching and research in our global society. We attract a wide diversity of backgrounds in our applicants for faculty positions.

As of August 1, 2018, of our current 62 faculty members, 47 percent are female, and approximately 13 percent are Asian, 8 percent are Hispanic, and 7 percent are Black or African American. 

Florida Equity Report
This annual report describes college activities in the previous academic year that were designed to promote inclusion and equity. The report is required by Florida Statute Section 1005.05 and is submitted to the State Board of Education. Read the HHP August 2018 submission (.pdf).

Assistant Dean for Inclusion
HHP, in collaboration with the Levin College of Law, is searching for the first Assistant Dean of Inclusion. (See job description and apply.) This leader will develop and implement strategies related to issues of inclusion and diversity within the colleges – including, but not limited to, recruitment and retention of students and faculty, teaching, curriculum, communication strategies, facilitation of open and timely discussions around issues and events, and career readiness.

This is an ongoing search. Finalists will be invited to campus and presentations will be open to the community. See details on the HHP employment page.

HHP Inclusion Working Group
This working group will be made up of students, faculty and staff to advise college leadership on programming and advocacy around issues of diversity and inclusion.
