Biography

With 13+ years in higher education and non-profit organizations, Craig’s work focuses on developing relationships and strategic partnerships to create opportunities for personal, professional, and community development. He currently serves as the Director of Engaged Learning & Outreach with the Department of Tourism, Recreation and Sport Management at the University of Florida. He also serves as the Managing Director of the Eric Friedheim Tourism Institute, committed to supporting the initiatives of tourism research and learning centers in the areas of Destination Marketing and Management, Crisis Management, and Sustainability.

Craig earned a Ph.D. in Sport Administration from the University of Northern Colorado. During his time in Colorado, he served as Research Project Coordinator for the Business of Sport Certificate Program (CU) and taught personal and corporate finance in the CU Business Intensive Certificate Program. He also previously served as an Assistant Professor at Elon University (Elon, North Carolina), Senior Program Director of the Cannon Street YMCA (Charleston, SC), and Program Director for the South Lake YMCA (Clermont, FL).
